A nice little road trip

My band and I went up to Eganville, Ontario to play at our friend’s library. I feel such an affection for these photos because as Lisa says, “we get to have a second adolescence.” This time around is much better.

Procrastinating

The best way to avoid doing work you don’t want to do is to convince yourself of the necessity of doing work that you do want to do. I saw these shots from Mali that I took last spring and I wanted to share them with you.

Beautiful Ali

What can I say? Y’all know she’s awesome. These are from my now defunct band members project (we decided to go in another direction).

I was in Honduras this past December shooting for World Vision’s Victoria Campaign for Children. Tomorrow I am headed back to shoot for World Vision’s Gift Catalogue. When I was there in December I shot the above photos but I was so sick that I can barely remember the experience. I’m really excited to go back and really take it all in.

Tonight at the Smiling Buddha Bar - Dar F.M. spring vintage collection

——

I recently had the privilege of photographing three lovely friends. Kathryn, Dar and Emily posed in Dar’s latest vintage finds for her Dar. F.M. section of Little City. They’ll be up on the site soon but we wanted to give people attending Vox a chance to have their first pick. Come by and say hello!

La la Lisa

Our idea for Lisa’s photograph on The Royal Family’s cover was just a plain retro street shot. Our day ran away with us and the sun was sinking fast. There is an old blue volvo in front of John and Em’s house so we ran over there, woke up Em from her nap so that she could hold a reflector and shot as many frames as we could.

Testing testing

As some of you know, I play in a band called The Royal Family. We’re in the studio recording our first EP and I’ve been excitedly shooting cover images for it. First behind the camera is our lead singer and songwriter Andrew Patten. Above are some tests that I did this afternoon to figure out what his photograph will look like.
