“I know you so well, I don’t even know you anymore”

Styling by Andrew Child and Dar M.

When challenged by local artist Sona Safaei to conceive a photograph with the theme “Urban Jealousy” I immediately thought of Andrew and Dar as collaborators for the project. Their unique style and character was perfect for a city story about love and the tragic loss that we face when our most intimate friendships become cloudy and vague.

As the city pushes it’s people to become more; more successful, more beautiful, more unique, more aloof, friendships are put to the test. “I know you, I know your weakness, but you are more than me… this is our urban jealousy.”

This photo is one in a series that will address the topic.   The fight for reconciliation, for forgiveness,  and our insatiable need for one another.

The Summer Sun

hides from our April song.
as much as we beg it,
to show us where we belong.

A friend of mine said that he heard Roger Ebert say that the problem with cinema today is that cinematographers do not backlight movie stars as much as they did in the good old days.
